Although Romania is a member of the European Union since 2007, the country is not a part of the Schengen agreement and regulates its own visa policy within the legal framework of the EU. Romania has many bilateral or multilateral visa agreements with different countries all over the world that eliminates lengthy visa processes. A Romania tourist visa is issued for international tourists who are planning to visit the country for sightseeing purposes and is the most issued type of visa for Romania.

For Employed Person:
• Current bank statement of the latest 6 months
• No-objection certificate from employer

For Self-Employed Person:
• A copy of your business Registration
• Company bank statement of the latest 6 months

For retired Person:
• Pension statement of last 6 months

For Student:
• Proof of enrollment in course
• Leave approval letter from school/ university

Types of Romania Visas

It allows its holder to transit through the international transit areas of one or more airports of Romania, without entering the territory of Romania.

It allows its holder of third-country nationals to transit the territory of Romania. This type of visa can be issued for one, two or multiple transits, provided that each transit period does not exceed 5 days.

It allows its holders the right to request entry on the territory of Romania for reasons other but migration, in view of an uninterrupted stay or for more stays the duration of which cannot exceed 90 days throughout any 180-day period. This visa can be seeked  for official missions (marked C/M), tourism (marked C/TU), private visits (marked C/VV), business trips (marked C/A), transport (marked C/TR), sports (marked C/SP), cultural, scientific and humanitarian activities, as well as short-term medical treatment or any other activities that do not breach Romanian laws (marked C/ZA).

It allows its holder to stay for periods of 90 days, with one or multiple entries. The extension of the right of residence is materialized through a residence permit issued by the Inspectorate General for Immigration from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania. This visa can be seeked for economic activities (marked D/AE),professional activities (marked D/AP),commercial activities (marked D/AC), employment (marked D/AM), secondment (marked D/DT), studies (marked D/SD), family reunification (marked D/VF),other purposes (marked D/AS).
